CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati Reds traded Chris Heisey to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for RHP Matt Magill on Tuesday night.Heisey, who turns 30 on December 14, has spent his entire professional career with the Reds. He was selected by Cincinnati in the 17th round of the 2006 first-year player draft and appeared in 543 games for the Reds, primarily as an outfielder and pinch hitter.In 119 games last season, he had a .222 batting average with eight home runs and 22 RBI’s.Magill, 25, in 2014 went 7-6 with a 5.21 ERA in 36 appearances and 12 starts for Triple-A Albuquerque. The 6’3” pitcher appeared in six games for the Dodgers in 2013 posting a 6.51 ERA“We are excited to be adding a player with a power arm who has a chance to help our club next season,” Jocketty said in a statement.In other transactions today, the Reds did not offer 2015 contracts to RHP Logan Ondrusek or RHP Curtis Partch.
